MooIRCd2: Point your IRC Client at...
This page lists MooIRCd2 servers that you can connect your IRC client to. If you're looking for a place to download the IRCd, check the IRCd page. The more powerful of these servers are organized in a round-robin fashion under the hostname irc.mooircd.org.
You can also connect to the pools of regional servers at eu.mooircd.org (Europe) and us.mooircd.org (Americas) - but these are largely unnecessary at this point in time.

Your very own MooIRCd2 Server
Armed with the software on the IRCd page, you're more than perfectly equipped to start and run your own MooIRCd2 server. But what if you want to link it to the MooIRCd2 network?
For the most part, the answer will be no. Unless of course you meet the following criteria. First and foremost, your box must be on at least 10mb/s of symmetric bandwidth. We don't do ADSL/Cable boxen (with the notable exception being developer's testbed servers), as their supportable userbase is somewhat small. So if you're running an ircd on your cable modem, don't even bother asking.
Alright, you have a stable box with at least 10mb/s of bandwidth on tap, and you're dead-set on having your very own MooIRCd2 network server. Well, the last thing we require is you have some users to populate it. Let's be honest, our current network is by no means full, and more servers isn't going to help us any time soon. But if you have a nice collection of say, at least 10-20 users, we might just consider it.
Finally, you need to review and understand our MooIRCd2 network policy, with the easiest way of making sure you know it all to be discussing it with fwaggle - he knows the whole thing by heart. We'll publish it here soon.
If you think you meet the criteria, message fwaggle on MooIRCd2.
